Rome and Pompeii (with Lindsey and Keenan!) June 2006

Lindsey and Keenan came to visit us summer 2006. Together, we traveled to Italy where we spent 4 days in Rome and Pompeii.

We drove out to spend one of our days in Pompeii, an ancient city that was preserved when a nearby volcano erupted, covering the city in ash. The Ash hardened, and essentially "froze" the city in time.
